PTFE Sheet for Heat Pressing

If you use Heat Transfer Vinyl, you know how important a PTFE sheet is. PTFE is a protective sheet that can be re-used over and over again when heat pressing.

When printing both the front and back on a garment, a cover sheet can be placed inside of the shirt to block heat from getting through the fabric, so that you don’t end up with a shirt that is stuck together. They can also be used to protect the HTV from the platen when making a final press or pressing when there is not a carrier sheet present.

It is important to remember that when using PTFE on top of the transfer (or print) will drop the temperature.  It’ll take longer for the heat to penetrate through the sheet.
